Malangen is a new recreational resort located at Skutvik in Malangen, on the shores of the Malangen Fjord on the beautiful and diverse Malangen Peninsula. Malangen Brygger is just a 90-minute drive from either Tromsø of Snowman International Airport (Bardufoss).

Malangen was formerly a municipality in its own right. The majority of Malangen is now located in the Municipality of Balsfjord, while a small part of the peninsula′s outermost area is located in the Municipality of Tromsø. Balsfjord is Northern Norway′s largest agricultural municipality, with a population of around 6000.

Malangen boasts a beautiful and distinctive nature offering a taste of both fjord and mountain, which has for many years contributed to Malangen being a sought-after area for holiday homes and cabins. Malangen has long been regarded as one of the most desirable areas for holiday homes/cabins. In earlier times the locals said that the municipal boundary also marked the boundary for grain cultivation, as the fjord also has a favourable climate. Malangen Fjord has been described by researchers as a "miniature Barents Sea" as it contains a rich diversity of fish species.

Malangen Brygger 

Malangen Brygger offers a wide range of activity options for all guests, including the course and conference market. You may fish in the fjord or mountain lakes, bring your own boat or hire one here and explore the fjords or experience dog sledding, ice fishing, Northern Lights excursions, snowshoeing treks and much more. There are exceptional conditions here for cross-country skiing or hikes on varied terrain, and we have cycles for hire for those wishing to explore Malangen by bike. For the more laid-back guest, you can enjoy our outdoor spa and sauna or relax in the hot tub. Other facilities include a large children′s play area for our younger guests, an exclusive event hut and barbecue areas.

When our hotel and conference centre is completed, we will also offer gym facilities, a relaxing spa and enjoyable meals prepared with local delicacies from Malangen′s plentiful "food bowl".
